Hamster in Danger (Young Puffin story books)

Class 3 of Hopswood Junior School are celebrating Harvest Festival by taking goodies to old people in the nearby flats. Anna’s cake is accidentally eaten on the way to school, so she has nothing to take – her solution is to smuggle the class hamsterout to cheer the pensioners up as they’re not allowed to keep pets in the flats. Old Miss Grundy thinks the hamster is her long-lost pet, Boodles, and keeps him. Luke and Anna’s plan to rescue the hamster involves the vermin exterminators, local TV and loads of trouble and hassle.
